Today we will be exploring contemporary issues surrounding Big Data and Analytics using the challenges being faced by Thomson Reuters as context for the discussion. During this session we plan to cover the "five Vs" of Big Data: Volume, Velocity, Variety, Visualization and Value. We will travel up and down the stack, from infrastructure, to database software, to analytical techniques, to the user interface. This is designed as an interactive session and we look forward to a lively exchange of ideas.
