In this talk, mathematical foundations that are modeled after neo-cortex are provided. Such mathematical techniques can be used to learn structures, anomalies and surprises in data. It can also be used to find correlations between different data sources or sensor modalities. Application of these techniques are demonstrated using imagery and audio data.

 

Dr. Shubha Kadambe obtained her PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 1991. Currently she is a Senior Principal Systems Engineer at the Communications Systems and Applications group in the Advanced Technology Center, Communication Navigation and Systems department of Rockwell Collins.
