This talk will provide an overview of the Internet's meta-structure, describe its historical progression from a single backbone, and discuss how our current context of high demand, even greater supply, and decreasing availability of capital are combining to shape the future growth of the Internet.

 

Bill Woodcock is the research director of Packet Clearing House, a non-profit research institute that supports investigation and operations in the areas of Internet traffic exchange and routing economics.
