THE CENTER FOR DISTRIBUTED ROBOTICS AND THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CENTER'S TECHNOLOGY DAY CAMP offers participants an introduction to the fields of engineering and computer science through presentations and hands-on activities in a university environment. In its 13th year, the camp has catered to hundreds of participants, focusing on giving access to students who have limited opportunities to robotics and engineering activities. Technology Day Camp is for 6-8th grade students, ages 11-13.
Each summer's camp is divided into several multi-day sessions, including a session open to the public. To enhance accessibility for all eager participants, the camp is offered free of charge, and breakfast and lunch are provided.
In the past the camp has featured: a campus tour, demonstrations from a variety of research labs, hands-on activities in soldering and computer programming, and much more.
