Technology Day Camp 2012

August 8–10, 2012

Walter Library

Robotics camp

The Center for Distributed Robotics and the Digital Technology Center's Technology Day Camp offers participants an introduction to the fields of engineering and computer science through presentations and hands-on activities in a university environment. In its 8th year, the camp has catered to hundreds of participants, focusing on students from low-income schools.

This summer's camp will be divided into four sessions (three days each), including a session open to the public. To enhance accessibility for all eager participants, the camp is offered free of charge, and breakfast and lunch are provided. Through our partnership with Minneapolis Public Schools, students from the participating MPS middle schools will also be provided transportation.

This year's camp features: a campus tour, demonstrations from a variety of research labs, hands-on activities in soldering and computer programming, and much more.

The session open to the public will take place August 8–10, 2012 from 8:30–3:30 p.m. each day, beginning and ending at 401 Walter Library on the University of Minnesota's east bank campus.
