VranyesThe incredible growth in data volumes and the ever changing environments in which data resides has posed many challenges for protecting data. These changes have been brought on by the popularity of virtualization technology (e.g. VMware), shifts in storage technology (SAN to NAS), increasingly complex applications, and heightened needs for security. This presentation will discuss how these and other technologies are changing the landscape for data protection and the role that technology such as deduplication and replication are playing in that change. We'll then look at the next set of challenges that are appearing on the horizon and the technology that may hold some of the answers in those challenges.
