Digital Design Consortium Open House

Thursday, August 26, 2004
1:00–5:00 pm

101 and 107 Walter

The Digital Design Consortium is pleased to invite you to our Open House. Come see how state of the art digital technologies including long range laser scanners, room sized tracking systems, high resolution head mounted displays, and theater quality video projectors are being used to advance architecture and related design. Give us your feedback as we attempt to develop applications that capture the complexity of architectural thinking and step beyond existing design software created for engineers and movie makers. Learn how your company could benefit from membership in our Industrial Affiliates Program. The Digital Design Consortium (DDC) involves faculty members from both the Architecture and Computer Science Departments at the University of Minnesota. Seeded by a $1.5 million dollar donation from Linda and Ted Johnson, the DDC has since attracted funding from several government and corporate sources. The DDC is part of the Digital Technology Center and is located in the recently renovated Walter Library on the UM campus. There are no fees, but we do request advance registration in order to facilitate event planning.
