DTC Research Report Policy
The Digital Technology Center requests that all DTC
affiliated faculty acknowledge when applicable the DTC's support (i.e.,
funding, space, or administrative and technical support) in either the
acknowledgments or in the byline or both of their research reports or
preprints.
DTC affiliated Principal Investigators may choose the
type (i.e., in byline or acknowledgements, or both) and format/style of
acknowledgement they prefer to use. For example, if the PI chooses to
acknowledge the DTC in the byline, they could use the following format:
Professor John Smith
Computer Science and Engineering and Digital Technology Center
499 Walter Library
117 Pleasant Street S.E.
Minneapolis, MN 55455
If they prefer to have their correspondence directed
to their departmental address, the PI could use the following format:
Professor John Smith
Computer Science and Engineering and Digital Technology Center
4-192 EE/CSci
200 Union Street S.E.
Minneapolis, MN 55455
Questions about the format of acknowledgements can be
addressed to Cory Devor (612-625-1716 or
devor@dtc.umn.edu)
Electronic versions of all research reports produced
by DTC affiliated faculty that acknowledge the DTC's support should be sent
to the DTC for inclusion in the DTC research report series. The DTC will
accept PostScript, Word, or PDF versions of the reports and will post all
versions that are provided, and will also generate a PDF version if that
is not sent in. When the report is published, a link will be provided to
the publication the report appears in.
These reports will be made available through the
DTC's web site. When the report is published, a link will be provided to
the publication.
The DTC will keep bibliographies for all reports
submitted by DTC affiliated researchers to the DTC research report series.
Annually the DTC will request DTC affiliated
faculty to review and update the bibliographic information contained in
their DTC bibliography (e.g., publication information).
