The Digital
Technology Center's technical support staff supports researchers at
the Digital Technology Center in all aspects of computational support. This
includes system administration support (all types of UNIX, Windows and
Macintosh), and networking.
The Digital Technology Center's technical support staff will:
- Set up and maintain individual machines in the dtc.umn.edu domain. For
large number of machines or highly specialized equipment, the DTC staff
will provide a resource for group's individual system administrators to
consult with and work with.
- Provide IP addresses for those who want to manage their own
machines.
- Provide user support in scientific computation and visualization, and
other areas such as computational biology.
Technical support will evolve and grow as the needs
of the Digital Technology Center's researchers are identified. For
