Robotics Technology Day Camp

Robotics camp

The Center for Distributed Robotics Technology Day Camp offers students an introduction to the fields of Engineering and Computer Science through presentations and hands-on activities in a university environment. In its 7th year, the camp has catered to hundreds of students, focusing on participation from low-income schools.

This summer's camp will be divided into three sessions (three days each), with over 75 students currently registered. To enhance accessibility for disadvantaged students, the camp is offered free of charge and breakfast/lunch is supplied, through our partnership with the Minneapolis school district students from the participating middle schools (Anwatin and Anishinabe) will also be provided transportation.

This year's camp features: a campus tour, demonstrations from a variety of research labs, hands-on activities in soldering and computer programming, and much more.

The sessions are August 8-10, 10-12, and 15-17, from 8:30-3:30pm each day, beginning and ending at Walter Library (DTC 106). Please contact Jesse Purvey with any questions or location details for specific times (purv0022@umn.edu ).
