DDMC resources
DDMC Resources
The Minnesota Supercomputing Institute and DDMC are both in the DTC. MSI
offers several research core machines that may be available for research
projects. Each core machine runs a version of the UNIX operating system.
All Institute core machines can be used for serial and parallel codes
written in C, C++, FORTRAN 77, and FORTRAN 90. The Institute also provides
numerous commercial and public domain software packages such as: Matlab,
Weka, CLUTO, SAS, R.
Core Computing Machines:
- IBM BladeCenter Linux Cluster with 275 dual-core 2.6 GHz nodes.
- SGI Altix Cluster with 11 shared memory machines and over 300
processors.
- IBM Power4 a constellation of several shared-memory nodes and 344
processors.
- Linux Cluster consists of 76 2-processor Netfinity nodes from IBM.
- Unisys ES7000 Orion 430 with16 Intel Itanium 1.5 GHz
