Data Mining Open House

Thursday, March 23, 2006
Digital Technology Center
Walter Library
University of Minnesota
Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Digital Technology Center (DTC) at the University of Minnesota has established technology consortiums/groups which focus on various technology areas of interest to our industrial affiliate members and partners. Our latest technology thrust will be in the area of Data Mining with the goal to enhance our relationships with industrial partners and provide meaningful technology transfer.

This open house will provide an overview of data mining with a keynote address by Dr. Usama Fayyad, Chief Data Officer and Sr. Vice President of Yahoo!, poster presentation on U of M research, and panel discussions featuring U of M faculty and members of industry.

The open house will also include an overview of the DTC’s consortium approach to industrial interactions.

This event is free. In order to plan for breaks and lunches, we request that all participants preregister by Thursday, March 16.

Additional information about the conference will be posted as it becomes available. Questions regarding the open house can be sent to Michael Olesen (olesen@dtc.umn.edu or 612-625-6414.)

You may also contact us by sending email to events@dtc.umn.edu or calling (612) 624-9510.
